Web Design for Bucks County Small Businesses

Straight answer first

I'm in Philadelphia, not Bucks County

Search for a web designer in Bucks County and you'll get pages listing thirty towns each, every one implying somebody's just around the corner. I'm not going to do that.

I'm Sam. I work from Philadelphia, and I'm the owner, the designer, the developer, and the person who answers the phone. No office in Doylestown, no satellite in Newtown, no team. What I do have in the county is one client, a moving company in Southampton whose site I built and still look after. And a price I'll put on this page instead of making you book a call to hear it.

What's actually here

Bucks County runs on small businesses

Not on the big employers people name first. By number of establishments, construction is the largest sector in the county, ahead of professional services and everything else. That's a category made almost entirely of small, owner-run outfits.

  • 1,818 construction establishments, the county's largest sector by count. Professional and technical services follow at 1,742.
  • 8.4 million visitors a year, generating $1.3 billion and supporting 29,104 leisure and hospitality jobs, on Visit Bucks County's 2024 figures.
  • $114,800 median household income, 47.2% higher than Pennsylvania as a whole.
  • No countywide chamber. Central Bucks has around 1,500 members, Lower Bucks over 1,000 across 22 municipalities, and Upper Bucks runs separately again.

The one I can show you

A site I built in Southampton

One client in the county, named, with the address on their own site and the numbers you can go and check. That's a smaller claim than the competition makes and it's the one I can stand behind.

The Garttmeyer Movers website homepage

Garttmeyer Movers

A family moving company on Jaymor Road in Southampton. garttmeyermovers.com

  • 97 performance
  • 95 accessibility
  • 100 best practices

  • 0.3s first paint
Measured on Google PageSpeed Insights, August 2026. Run it against the live site yourself rather than take my word for it. Other work, outside the county, is on the homepage.
What that means for your website

Found on a phone, by someone who's never been to your shop

Those numbers up there aren't decoration. 8.4 million visitors a year means a real share of the people looking you up have never driven past your sign and have nothing to go on but what loads on their phone. No countywide chamber means search is quietly doing the job a referral network does in other places. And an owner-run business doesn't have an afternoon spare to fight with a page editor.

So the site has to load fast on a bad signal, say what you do above the fold, make the phone number tappable, and then stay current without becoming your problem. That last part is the one builders don't solve.

The price, on the page

$150 a month, nothing down

Five custom pages, built for your business rather than picked from a template. Two to four weeks once your content's in. Cancel any month with no fee and no minimum term.

What's in it

  • The build itself, designed and coded from scratch
  • Hosting, security, and the SSL certificate
  • Unlimited edits to your existing pages: text, photos, prices, hours
  • Updates when browsers and platforms change
  • Google Analytics set up and running
  • A review of your Google Business Profile and local listings
  • Me on the phone, by text, or by email, instead of a support queue

What's not

  • Editing the site yourself. There's no login; you send changes to me
  • Pages beyond the first five, at $100 each
  • Redesigns and new features once it's live
  • A custom email domain
  • Blog writing, which is its own tier
  • The site staying up after you cancel. It comes down, and you keep your domain, content, and listings

If you'd rather buy it outright than rent it, there's a one-time build at $3,500 plus $25 a month for hosting. Same site either way.

That's the whole price. If it works for you, tell me about your business or call (215) 948-2580.

If you're still deciding

Builder or custom?

For some businesses a website builder genuinely is the right answer, and I'd rather say so than talk you out of it. It comes down to whether you want a website you run yourself or one that's handled. I wrote the whole comparison out here, with real prices and a source for every number.

Questions

The ones people actually ask

How much does a website cost in Bucks County?

$150 a month with nothing down, for a five-page custom site. Extra pages are $100 each. If you'd rather pay once, it's $3,500 up front plus $25 a month for hosting. Worth saying plainly: none of the other web design companies ranking for Bucks County put a number on their page. I read all of them before writing this one.

Do you actually work in Bucks County?

I work from Philadelphia. There's no office in the county and I'm not going to imply otherwise. I built the site for Garttmeyer Movers in Southampton and still look after it. That's the honest extent of it.

How long does it take to build?

Two to four weeks, counting from when your content is in. That's the same number I quote everywhere.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. There's no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Stop any month and we're square.

Can I update the website myself?

No, and that's a real difference from Wix or WordPress. There's no editor to log into. Instead the edits are unlimited and included: you text, call or email what you want changed on your existing pages, and I change it.

What happens to my website if I cancel?

The site comes down. You keep your domain, your content, your images, and your Google listings. The code I write stays mine. No fee and no notice period.

Do you build on WordPress?

No. Everything I build is written by hand. Whether that matters for your business is a longer answer, and I put the whole comparison on its own page rather than argue it here.

How do I know the site will be fast?

Because you can go and measure one. Garttmeyer's site scores 97 for performance, 95 for accessibility, and 100 for both best practices and SEO on Google's PageSpeed Insights, with the first paint at 0.3 seconds. Run it yourself rather than take my word for it.

What do I get for $150 a month?

The build itself, then hosting, security and the SSL certificate, unlimited edits to your existing pages, updates when browsers and platforms change, Google Analytics, and a review of your Google Business Profile and local listings. Redesigns, new features, extra pages, a custom email domain and blog writing are priced separately.
